Hello all---
I have applied at SUNY Albany, Binghamton, Stony Brook and New Paltz. What are my chances at each with my stats:
87 GPA un-weighted ( I know, I know...should have tried harder)
1230 SAT out of 1600
AP Chemistry
A few honors classes
Varsity Tennis
Work on the school newspaper
Involved in AOIT( Academy of Information Technology)...had to be accepted
Involved in a couple of other clubs, no positions held...just a member
So far in my senior year (1st marking period over) holding a 93 plus average
Very good recommendations

I think most of the SUNYs are a lot less selective than they appear on the surface. You have a solid B+ average and your SAT score is very close to the average (1263). I've had plenty students from my school get into Binghampton, Stony Brook and Geneseo (the three rumored most selective) with C+ averages and mid 1100s. I think you have a good chance at all of em, especially with an upwards trend.

For SUNY Albany and SUNY New Paltz your in easily. (95%)
For SUNY Bing i would say 75%.
The only school you need recommendations for is SUNY Bing.

You definately get into Stony Brook, New Paltz, and Albany, especially if you're a New York resident. SUNY Binghamton may be the only possible rejection. The middle 50% of the SAT out of 1600 is 1190 - 1360. I still think you have a good chance though. Good luck.
