SUNY EA and financial aid?

I'm confused. So is there any difference between me applying early action and applying regular decision to a SUNY school? Do I still have the same financial aid (if I am eligible) if I apply early as to me applying regular? I just wanted to know what is the EXACT difference between regular decision and early action in terms of financial aid. Also, which income tax form do the schools consider? Is it like regular decision, in which you use the 2008 income tax form in January's FASFA?

The SUNY's my d looked at (UB, Binghamton) explicitly said there's no difference in the fin aid awarded ED or RD, provided you meet their fin aid deadlines. The FAFSA filing is the same for both.
