Suny Geneseo vs. Suny cortland vs. suny brockport

I'm a college senior who has applied to Cortland, Geneseo, and Brockport. My gpa is a 90.14. However I was out on home tutoring due to an illness so my grades went from about an average of an 84 when I was sick, to a 97 when I was back in school. I have an sat score of 1860 with a 700 in mathematics, 600 in critical reading, and 560 in writing. I'm in many ap classes including ap calc bc, ap statisitics, ap physics, ap lit, etc. I do dance 5 hours a week at a local dance studio and am in its senior company. I also am in a few extra circulars.
I want to be an elementary school teacher and found three suny schools I really liked. The only problem is I dont know which one! I'm confident that I'd do well anywhere, I just want help figuring out which is the best for what I want to study. Please help! Thank you

SUNY Cortland is best known for its education department. I personally really don’t like Cortland (the area, the campus, the people) but a lot of teachers in the area got degrees from Cortland and that’s what they’re best known for. However, I have heard some good things about Geneseo’s education department, too, I believe. Education is the most popular major at both schools (36% at Cortland and 20% at Geneseo, according to Collegeboard), so they’re both probably good choices for the major. If you get into both (or even all three, although I don’t know a ton about Brockport), I would personally choose Geneseo. But that’s just me!

At Geneseo you will be surrounded by more serious students and Geneseo has a more intellectual environment, like a liberal arts college. You will have more downstate students there. Cortland and Brockport are very similar. Both attract a more local population and are mid-level SUNY’s. Geneseo definitely has the best reputation, although you can get a good education at any of these schools.

Geneseo will be more challenging than the other two SUNYs you mention but in my opinion is one of the shining stars of the SUNY system. Many students choose Geneseo over much more expensive private LACs. Parents as well as the students I have met just love this college.

Concur with the above. Geneseo is your best bet.
