<p>What are my chances of getting into SUNY New Paltz?</p>
<p>My GPA is about 88. I had low 80's freshman and sophomore year but junior year I started trying and now I have about 93 GPA for this year.</p>
<p>My SAT scores are disappointing. I got 1080 on two sections and 1600 on three without any prep. I'm going to study hard for the next 4 months and hopefully get around 1800. </p>
<p>I am president of a club and part of another. I was on the mock trial team as well. Im taking one AP class senior year.</p>
<p>So, how would you rank my chances of getting in?</p>
<p>New Paltz is one of the SUNYs that is becoming harder and harder to get into. If your school uses naviance, use that to check to see where your GPA stands compared to the other kids from your school who have been admitted. </p>
<p>Your SAT puts you at the low-end of students who were admitted, you really wanna shoot for 1200 M+CR and at least a 1750ish combined. You should give the ACT a shot, many students find it to be more “relaxed” and less daunting than the SAT.</p>
