I got accepted for both these schools and I was curious as to which one is better for science (Pre-Med). My major is biochemistry.

They’re both SUNYs. There won’t be likely any differences…certainly not enough to justify a paying a higher cost at one over the other.

If you like both, then go to the cheaper one. If you like one a lot better, but it costs more but won’t involve much more debt, then pick that one.

Hey, so I applied to Suny Oswego with a Biochemistry major on a pre-med track. I know it is not as good as stonybrook and UB for sciences, but I absolutely love the school. Do you think that I could get a decent education there for medical school there?*

Will choossing Oswego over Platt mean much larger loans? If so, how much more? If not, then happily enroll in O.

I guess my opinion is a little different from the other advice you’ve been given. Although I haven’t visited these 2 SUNY schools, I have visited others and they differ greatly in terms of their strengths, departments, research opportunities, atmosphere, club opportunities, honors programs, etc. The tuition across all the SUNYs is actually the same - what differs is the fees, room and board, and scholarships that you might be awarded. I think you should visit and talk to professors in the depts as well as seniors for their insight into the schools, and specifically inquire about your area(s) of interest, including non-academic concerns.
