SUNY Schools

What are the best SUNY schools as far as Childhood education...
anybody have any first hand knowledge of the party life, the drugs, etc.
from a concerned parent sending his oldest daughter of to school next fall.

Does your daughter have any preferences for location or school size? Are you looking for merit aid?

According to the SUNY website, childhood education is offered at Brockport, Buff State, Cortland, Fredonia, Geneseo, Old Westbury, Oneonta, Oswego, and Plattsburgh. Potsdam offers a combined early childhood/childhood education program. Brockport’s program includes an inclusive ed portion.

Many of the smaller SUNYs have decent education programs. I’ve heard nice things about the education departments at New Paltz and Oneonta. I attend New Paltz if you have any specific questions about the school!

My daughters first choice is Plattsburgh, mine is Cortland…she has also applied to SUNY Old Westbury, Oneonta, Keene State, Mount Saint Mary and High Point…
she has an 87.5 GPA
21 on her ACT
Great essay

has worked part time for the last 2 years
over 150 hours of community service
will be in the “WISE” program at school this year - a teachers assistant

My daughter’s teacher went to Oneonta and she had good things to say about the education major there. My son goes to New Paltz and the education dept. there is top notch.
