Lola your tone is very annoying and breaks the vibe that we have going here at the Princeton forum. We pride ourselves on being friendly here and overly happy. I hope you are not applying to Princeton because if I got in I would not like to share the same school with you. Everything you say seems very critical and demeaning. Im not trying to pick on you, but seriously tone it done.

I do not intend to sound demeaning...i am just questioning the previous forum on this article...it is interesting to hear other people's points of view...that is all mitchhs, and frankly you are the one being critical. I am just asking a question.

I agree with mitchhhs.
This is a very friendly forum.
Which is probably why your first 10 or so posts were ignored, because none of us wanted to start something about this.

But if you really want to discuss this--
I disagree with you.
I find it believable.
Perhaps the amount of hours is a little exaggerated for some of them.
But other than that, I don't see what's so farfetched about this....

Yes I would agree. The title of the article is "Super Applicants". This means the author is only going to include info to make them seem, well, Super. Some info will be embellished and other info that makes them seem, well, human will be left out.

You know who lola reminds me of?? Luna! (for any of you HP fans out there=))
Everyone gets angry and she's just like, "la-dee-daaa... just interested in what people think...."

lol, totally random. this thread makes me laugh

lol ya exactly

The article was not posted on an internet forum..it was on some paper..it doesn't mean that it will be 100% accurate..but the reporter must have done some research..

u(lola) believed the guy who said he knows pincus...u can believe a random guy on internet but not an article on a paper???

in response to lola's comment, not only was it rude, but it's completely untrue. all the ECs and qualifications and research that these 'super-applicants' have are 100 percent reasonable. courtney sachs did research at a hospital - it's very likely that everything that was written about her is true. i do research as well, and i'm sure hundreds of other princeton applicants do too; it's NOT far-fetched, it just SOUNDS impressive ("too good to be true," in your words). and all those people who started programs and clubs... also possible if you have the support of your school behind you, or someone who's willing to provide you with the means to make your ideas possible. the point of the article is to show that people like this actually exist, perhaps that's why they're featured in new york magazine...

lola sound mad emo

how is research aka "connections?"
