I have a hard time with college writing course. If drop it, obviously gpa would be higher, say 3.8+. Take it would be like 3.5+.but schools will think you don't like to challenge yourself, wont they? All my other courses are like intro classes, but definitely not easy.

I have this question too. Bump

3.8 is not considered ‘super high’ for the highly selective colleges.

Do you mean:

a. average (15-16 units) vs. heavy (17-18)
or
b. light (12-14) vs. average (15-16)

The first example is fine, but to take a full time but less than average load could be problematic.

17credits VS 14 credits

You need to learn how to write for any college, dropping a basic writing class will look bad.

it won’t show up on my transcript. I will take this course next semester anyway.

Have you talked to your professor about your issue?

i took 14 units throughout my CC career and only 17 in my last semester
if your GPA is at risk and you can take this class next semester, i say you drop it before you get that W.

When you say credits, do you include P.E. and seminars or just classes that are counted to our GPA? I have 17 credits, 2 of which aren’t counted towards GPA, its fairly light imo

If a W won’t show, drop it.
