Super Short CR Passages (jap american, etc)

Do you guys remember your answer for these?

for the japanese american one:

How does Passage 1's view on identity differ from Passage 2?
conflicted vs tangenial
central vs integrated

How did passage 2 differ from passage 1?
people can shape their own identities
culture does not influence one's identity

Were those the only 2 questions? it seemed that there were more...and wasn't there another super short CR passage?

Central vs Tangental was choice and the one i picked.

People can shape their identities.

wait, it aws central vs tangential or conflicted vs tangential?

i had the tangential one picked at first but in the passage he made a reference to intangible properties?

i didn't put the people can create their own identities choice because somewhere in the passage it said that they were shaped by circumstances out of our control. did anyone else see that or am i crazy?

They did say that but they did say something about how you aren't defined or limited and there was one more thing that I cannot remmeber that said we had a choice.

tangential isn't connected to intangible though. i understood it as the first passage said identity was central to your life, while the second said it was only a part.

oh. i put the choice that said our identies are shaped by experiences or something along the lines of that. i'm probably wrong. blah

conflicted v. integrated

can someone put other answer choices to this question, "How does Passage 1's view on identity differ from Passage 2?"

It was conflicted vs. integrated. Because in the 1st passage, he said his ANCESTORS were central, but he was not like that.

Kristina r u some english genius or something?

No, unfortunately......

haha

cultural vacuum?

Nope. I did not put that one. But what was the question? Or some other answer choices?

it was either cultural vacuum or mystical realm. had to be cultural vacuum come to think of it as it discussed the area as the center of the world...etc. the mystical realm referred to what was outside.

Hm, I don't think it was either one of those, but I completely forgot the question.

i think i put mystical realm... uh...

and i put conflicted v. integrated i think.

i put conflicted vs integrated.

he did mention mystical realm but i thought that it had to be cultural vaccum because the importance of culture and stuff was all over the place in the first passage. i hopeeeeee it's cultural vaccum :(

it was about the village where the ancestors were from.

i thought ti was mystical realm because the author made it seem like the lives of his/her ancestors were so distant from his lives and that's what makes his sense of identity blurry.

cultural vacuum was my next choice... dunno though

I put cultural vaccuum. I wasn't all too sure.

Ohh was the question the "mystical realm" mentioned in the 1st passage would be seen as _______ by the 2nd author? I thought the answer to that was it had possibilities.
