i didn't put the people can create their own identities choice because somewhere in the passage it said that they were shaped by circumstances out of our control. did anyone else see that or am i crazy?

They did say that but they did say something about how you aren't defined or limited and there was one more thing that I cannot remmeber that said we had a choice.

tangential isn't connected to intangible though. i understood it as the first passage said identity was central to your life, while the second said it was only a part.

it was either cultural vacuum or mystical realm. had to be cultural vacuum come to think of it as it discussed the area as the center of the world...etc. the mystical realm referred to what was outside.

he did mention mystical realm but i thought that it had to be cultural vaccum because the importance of culture and stuff was all over the place in the first passage. i hopeeeeee it's cultural vaccum :(

it was about the village where the ancestors were from.

i thought ti was mystical realm because the author made it seem like the lives of his/her ancestors were so distant from his lives and that's what makes his sense of identity blurry.

cultural vacuum was my next choice... dunno though

Ohh was the question the "mystical realm" mentioned in the 1st passage would be seen as _______ by the 2nd author? I thought the answer to that was it had possibilities.
