Do most people include an addendum listing extra material that the actual application does not allow room for?

Thanks in Advance.

I am not aware that the admissions office has ever released statistics on the number of people who send supplemental information, but I would suspect that most people do not send a supplement.

You are, however, permitted and welcome to send whatever supplemental information you believe will help your application.

I think most people do not. I understood the optional/additional-info sections as parts for people with special circumstances OR for people who really have something to say. I didn't, so I left them blank. :)

A lot of people I know applying to top colleges submitted addendums that listed their extra curricular activities that did not fit in the application. They listed the ECs in categories, which made it easier for them to include many minuscule things as well.

I too think the answer is "not most". I wrote the optional essay, but did not send in any other materials.

^^ I think the space for extra-curriculars is limited for a reason. It allows you to choose the ECs most important to you. Listing all the little things is a little overkill, in my opinion. In some cases, I'm sure it's warranted, but not most.

i think supplemental material is very good to further show your passion for your EC's. :)
