Supplement Essay Dilemma

Most supplement essay goes along the line "why (insert university name) and tell us how you will pursue your interest/academics in (insert university name)"

I have not yet decided what exactly I want to study in college. I know for a fact I want to study International Relations (East Asia Studies). But I'm still in process of debating whether to pair IR with business or computer related major.

Since I'm still undecided about business and computer is it ok to avoid mentioning about it in the essay and just focus on writing about my interest in IR?

Of course you can talk about IR by itself, or perhaps explain just how you explained it above–that you want to pair with one of the other two programs. Just make sure you can explain that this particular school has attractive offerings in all those areas and that is why you should be there! When they ask “why”, be specific.
