Supplement essay question

So, “respond to the quotation” is kind of vague…I picked the quote “It seems to me incumbent upon this and other schools’ graduates to recognize their responsibility to the public interest… unless the graduates of this college… are willing to put back into our society those talents, the broad sympathy, the understanding, the compassion… then obviously the presuppositions upon which our democracy are based are bound to be fallible.”
And I basically wrote an essay about my experience with service and why it’s important to me to give back…but I never really mentioned or referred to the quote itself. Was I supposed to do that?

Thanks!

I used that one too and that’s totally fine. I didn’t refer back to the quote directly, I merely used a couple words (sympathy, understanding, compassion) in my essayy to tie it all together  As long as they see that you responded to it you should be good. Best of luck!
