I accidentally used lead (present), instead of led (past) in a sentence. I said, “Consequently, this lead me to…”, on a supplemental essay for Tufts, pretty embarrassing. I don’t know how this happened as I copied and pasted it from a google doc where it says “led” (Maybe Grammarly autocorrect, which can be super goofy), but whatever. Should I reach out to them and try and correct this? Or will that look even worse?
No. It may not be noticed. It definately won’t matter.
You are fine. And for the sake of your sanity, once your application is submitted stop reading it over and over.
Right, proof before submitting. And right, don’t worry about one typo. And no, it wouldn’t look smart to write a letter apologizing for one wrong word.
Frankly, these are not high school essays where one misspelling can lose you points.
