Hey!
On the Stanford Supplement, it says to "Please briefly elaborate on one of your extracurricular activities or work experiences. (150 word limit.)"

Does this extracurricular activity have to be one of the activities i have listed in the activities section of the common app or can it be any activity?

It’s better if it’s from the Common App, so that it didn’t just appear out of nowhere!
Good luck :)

I would disagree. Now it’s been a long time since I filled out the common app, but I don’t recall listing some of the unorganized things I did: playing piano, practicing golf, hiking, amateur film-making, whatever. But if that’s something you really are passionate about, then go for it!

If you want to, you can always say a brief sentence or two about the extracurricular activity in “additional information”
