how far can i push the 300 words limit? i emailed them and they said try to keep it as close as possible. if i cut it down to 400 will that be enough? or should i aim for 350?
One skill they like to see in applications is good editing. 
Find a way to get it down closer to 300. Maybe ask someone like an English teacher to go through it with you to tighten it up.
