Supplemental Documents...

can any kind of supplemental documents (things like self-recommendation laters or writing that reveals more of ur personality) be included in college applications? or will the adcoms see them as excessive?

one or two is okay. more than that is suicidal. and what's "self-recommendation laters"? i hope it's not letters you wrote recommending yourself. that's called an essay.

well..its actually something like that. our school makes all the seniors write one.. and i actually wanted to use it somewhere so i just put it as a supplement.. anyways, i guess i made a bad choice then. i included 5 things (including a complete resume), but they are all in 3 pages. does this really hurt my chances..?

You should keep things simple.

my advice is not to use those "self-recommending" letters. as for your resume, 3 pages is a tad bit too long. i don't use resumes; i write all my extra activity in an activity list, one page maximum.
