Supplemental Essay Word Limit

So I've rewritten this supplemental essay like 10 times and I just can't keep it below 500 words. The lowest I can get it to is 550. Should I try to find a new essay topic that I can write under 500 or is 550 still acceptable? I use small words!

if tyhe words need to be there, don’t worry about it. There’s another thread about this though, dig a couple pages back.

ya - mine was about 550 too. It is fine if that is what it needs. As long as it does not ramble, there are no problems

My advice would be to get a couple people to read over your essay (if you haven’t done so already). They could probably trim close to 50 words.

I wouldn’t worry too much about 50 words. As indicated on the other threads, some people are (unwisely, in my opinion) sending in much longer essays.

Don’t stress out too much about 50 words extra. It’s not like their counting! But I agree with ccuser18, get someone to read it, I’m sure you can take out some thingd! It’s what happened with my essay.
