I’m an IB Diploma candidate, and therefore have written an Extended Essay. Brown says that they welcome abstracts from any research papers you have written and I’m wondering if I should submit mine.
I applied as a global health major and my paper deals with the manner in which climate change is affecting the rates of malaria in the African Highlands, so I feel as though the added information would further show that I am knowledgeable in my intended field.
However, as I understand it, most colleges are working on final cuts at this point. Is it too late to send the supplement? Is the supplement not valuable enough to send at this point?
I’m sorry to say that it’s too late. It’s already March. They’re probably in the long stretch, finishing the last couple of applications. It wouldn’t hurt to try, so just upload it to the portal. If you decide not to, then, you might regret it.
To summarize, I would tell you to send it in. I don’t think that it’ll be valuable at the moment, however, you might start saying, “what if…”
But for the record, it’s NEVER too late to send something worth sending. Admissions decisions at colleges can and have been altered up until the letter has been sent out.
