Have a question about submitting supplemental materials for an application.
It obviously doesn’t go on common app. Does every college handle it differently?
For example, what format and time limit of the music videos do I supply and where for my musician daughter(applying with general major, not music school, but accomplished musician).
Specifically where does one submit it for UNC ?
Does one submit the music videos? or youtube links / playlists?
Thank you so much!!!
The requirements, file types, length, means of submission, etc vary by college and should be on the college website.
AFAIK, UNC only accepts portfolios for applicants applying to the appropriate program.
Thanks! Good to know.
You can ask admissions at the schools. They vary in what they want.
The resume and especially letters of recommendation related to music can be very helpful as well.
where does the music resume go? if applying to non-music related major?
I was just looking at info for MIT which suggests MP3 recording, one page resume, and one letter (we did two). For MIT you submit via email. Schools vary. Again, I suggest you ask each school how to submit and how much.
