My son is an incoming freshman applicant and received an invitation to complete a questionnaire and submit a letter of recommendation this morning. Has anyone else on here received this?
Thanks!
Yup, I received one this morning too
Same here
What is this supposed to mean?
I got one too. Did the questionnaire say something about difficult circumstances?
Interesting, mine was about more in depth information about my extracurricular activities.
@nisegab I believe you get one about extracurriculars if the information you provided wasn’t enough/you didn’t indicate any specific hardships that you experienced over high school. Or, they’re trying to verify your information. Either way, it can’t be a bad thing.
I got one regarding my extreme hardship or difficult medical circumstances. I hope this isn’t for borderline applicants, because I have a 4.1 UC GPA and a 2230 (740CR 720M 770W) and high scores on two subject tests.
EDIT: By the way, does anyone know if the letter of recommendation has to mention the specific hardship that we encountered? I have one from a professor who wasn’t notified of my sports injury.
Daughter got one too. Taking it as a good sign. If they weren’t still interested, they wouldn’t ask – right?
@nisegab @Dolcegirl @yinuos @samikhan Do we know if it’s any indication? Any successes for any of you?
@helicoptermomsUN I was waitlisted for some reason, although I was accepted at UCSD and UC Irvine’s Honors Program. I won’t be attending either of them though since I got into Vanderbilt.
