Supplemental Test Scores?

Hey Guys.
I am beginning to fill out my apps. Some of the schools that I will apply to say that they require the SAT or ACT with Writing portion. I took the SAT and ACT w/o writing. My ACT score was better than my SAT (33, 2100/1400), which has raised the question:
For the schools that require the SAT or ACT with Writing, could I submit the SAT to fulfill the application requirement and also submit my ACT as a sort of supplemental material? Would the consider it, even though the SAT is what they require?
I feel like my ACT will really help me out, where as the SAT is a bit more average for the schools I am applying to.

Thanks

It doesn’t really matter. Some colleges will require scores from every test you’ve taken, including the bad ones. Other colleges let you pick what you want to send. If you’re sending the SAT, you don’t need to send the ACT, but you’re free to do so - they’ll look at both, but it won’t mean much. I doubt that the ACT score will help you out significantly; both test scores are approximately in the range that upper-tier colleges prefer. It’s a bad idea to rely on test scores to speak louder than essays/recs/grades.

Why not just take the ACT + writing? Your composite score will probably stay the same or improve.

I’d rather not have to deal with the anxiety again, haha.
But, if my ACT is without writing, therefore not fulfilling their requirement, they will still consider it if I send a score that does fulfill the req.?
