Supplementary recommendation

if i send in my supplementary rec by using my unofficial name, would JHU still know that it is I who sent it? Or should i call them and make sure they received it?

Our Operations Department makes every attempt to match supplemental materials to the correct applicant's file. However, due to the enormous amount of paper that needs to be filed we are unable to confirm if specific elements, such as an additional letter of recommendation, has been received, processed, and properly filed.

If you call, please know that our staff will only confirm if your application has been received and if any required application materials are missing. We are unable to confirm that supplemental materials or specific letters of recommendation have been processed.

oh okay thanks.
i have another question about the midyear report. my counselor did not send in the official report card for my 1st semester grades. but on the common app, it says my counselor can either send an official or just fill out the midyear report form. So is this okay?

We are very flexible when it comes to the midyear report. If an Admissions counselor does not feel we have the proper information, or if a midyear report has not yet been processed, the counselor will contact an applicant's school to get the information that is needed.

No need to worry.

okay, thanks for your clear response admissionsdaniel
