When I started working on my supplements for the common app I noticed that they include some short answers such as "what colleges are you applying to?" ect...
How in depth should my responses be. Some have 150-300+ word limits, does this mean I should be writing additional short essays or should I keep it to a one or two sentance response. It just me as odd that there's so much room to list where else you're applying...

Just put down the colleges you’re applying to. I don’t know why they give you so much space–I don’t think it means anything.

If the instructions don’t tell you to write an essay, you don’t have to write an essay. Whether it would help you or not to write an essay when you don’t have to is up to individual adcoms, not us.
