Hey everyone,

Due to the budget deficits and cuts in California, public education in California is facing a major crisis. This will ultimately affect students who are currently attending or will be attending school in California whether it be through the a UC, CSU, or CC. Class sizes will become larger, certain classes will be cut, and some teachers will be laid off. You don't have to be directly affected right now to support this cause and movement for higher education. If you're a current senior, junior, sophmore, or freshman in high school, I urge you to support this cause. (Of course, CA should also be investing more into K-12 education as well.) If you can, I urge everyone of you to support higher education in CA by liking this facebook page: UC for California | Facebook and staying informed. You can send letters to your legislators, Governor Brown, etc. Show our politicians that you care and that education is important.

I couldn't be more enthused that this collegeconfidential community consist of so many people who desire and know that education is extremely important in one's life. Thus, I'm posting this hoping that many of you will be supportive and outspoken about the current crisis that the public education in California is facing.

Love all of you collegeconfidenees! Support education!
