So I applied to WashU Regular Decision at the beginning of October. Today, I logged on to the WUSTL pathway to fill out some scholarship information and this message greeted me!

Congratulations! We are delighted to offer you an early announcement of your admission to the College of Arts & Sciences at Washington University. As we select students for our freshman class, we periodically select a small number who are offered early notification of admission.

Your early offer of admission is nonbinding. You have until May 1, 2015, to respond. We hope your decision will be to join us—you have wonderful contributions to make in the classroom and our community. We have sent you an admissions letter by mail that includes instructions regarding the procedure for responding to our offer of admission.

Just wanted to share this and see if anyone that applied RD also got this message. It was just by chance that I logged on to see it today. A lot of weirdness went on with WashU with me last week, actually... I received two calls from the University last week, one from an AdCom and one from a Financial Services person both asking what seemed at the time to be rather innocuous questions about my interest in the school. Is this a new phenomenon, or something else that someone can corroborate?
