I think they usually make you wait 2 weeks after school starts if you’re with a roommate, just because they want to give you time to work it out if possible. But if we’re both in singles it should be fine.</p>

<p>I emailed housing and asked to switch into a single in Hereford from a single in McCormick, and they are giving me my new room assignment tonight. YAY!</p>

<p>You’re lucky, UVA Hopeful. My friend and I signed up at the same time to be roommates, but she got offered housing first. My friend got her roommate on the same day I got assigned housing. So, I emailed housing and they told me they don’t do switches. Pretty disappointing, especially when they told my friend if I got housing they’d switch us…</p>
<p>I’ve got my new room assignment already. But if you’ve got a roommate sometimes they make you wait like 2 weeks after school starts to give you a chance to see if it works out or whatever. You may be able to since most people are trying to switch out of Hereford.</p>
