How about Utah kids? ^_^

thanks drinksuited! I live like 20 miles away from Swarthmore. i hope you guys hear soon!

i called but they were very unspecific and just said everyone will definitely know by the 15th.
highschsenior-CONGRATULATIONS!!! what date was it postmarked?!?

it was postmarked dec 8th. do you live far from swarthmore? hopefully most people will hear before the 15th.

i’m really sorry, 4yorkshiremen. good luck with the rest of your applications

@highschsenior: Congratulations on your acceptance.

And do you have any idea on what kind of mail do they use? I mean is it fast or slow? If it’s slow, it will take weeks to reach me.

My D2 just accepted here on the east coast!! Good luck to everyone else!

Daughter accepted! East coast and very happy!!

congratulations!! this is making me feel a bit better knowing that some people got accepted…but now i am even more anxious to know

i got in! it hasnt hit yet, ive wanted this for so long.
the envelope was scary bc it wasnt obvious whether it was an acceptance or rejection.

i live on long island, which makes sense with what the above posters have said.

good luck everyone!

Congrats to everyone who has gotten accepted. It’s so excited as more and more people find out! Drinksuited- I feel the same way. I’m so excited but at the same time, it’s still sinking in.

Hey everyone I wish I’d discovered this forum sooner, it would’ve been so nice to know that so many people relate! Congrats to everyone who was accepted, I’m really happy for all of you, and excited to meet you in the fall! And yes highschsenior, I’m basically in denial…

My kid got deferred- – really crushed. anyone know what the stats were and how likely to get in in regular decision?

I don’t know the stats, but I understand a deferral is paramount to a denial unless you send in something that will change their minds. It’s hard when your first application is a denial, you can’t tell if it’s the recommendations, the interview, the stats, the fit, the essay… It’s hard to know how to “re-tool” for the regular rounds.

My daughter doesn’t seem crushed by this decision, but I’m glad we did a few early action (non binding) applications that we will hear back on before the whole slew of apps are due later. Hatethisprocess is a good name!

Hi Congrats to all who got in!!
I’m a newly registered international member and I’ve been following this thread ever since I turned in my application.
Does anyone know if any international applicants have received their results yet? (I live in eastern Asia.) Ahhhh I am so nervous and jittery!
Thanks!!

Well the mail made it all the way to California and my daughter was excepted! Oh the pressure of waiting is gone!!!

Wow congratulations to your daughter!!!
Does anyone know if international acceptance letters are coming by express mail?
Also, I was wondering if the email only gets released on the date that Swarthmore said everyone will have their results by: 12/15?

Accepted; from Utah.

Ah, I got rejected…oh well. I guess I was too into science in my application, haha.
Time to do more college apps.

I’m in california but i didn’t get any letter today…so anxious for monday!
