Is it possible, once admitted, to switch one's declared major from Bioengineering or Mechanical engineering into Electrical Engineering? Thank you all who answer this question!

Oh and another question, I received one of those likely letters yesterday (We have received your application to UCLA’s Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science (HSSEAS). Your application is among those which I consider highly competitive. However, it is still too soon for admission decisions to be announced.) to the school of engineering and was wondering if anyone in the past has received such a letter and was not accepted into the college.

You can change majors at orientation very easily.

thank you very much I was wondering about that. I really appreciate the answer!

I got one too, and from what Im hearing…
it means we’re pretty much in :)

oh really, Wow! But I don’t want to get my hopes up too high lol.

Any other thoughts about how easy or difficult it is to switch from mechanical to electrical? S wants EE but requested ME --thanks!

It’s been posted many times on the board, esp. in Flopsy’s thread. Relatively easy to do so at orientation. Just make sure you enroll in the right pre-reqs. Most are the same for engineers the first year through.

Tyvm! Tyvm!
