Okay, so I have been admitted to UW to the College of Arts & Sciences, its says "pre-science" on my unofficial transcript (I applied as a Bio major). I was originally intending on going pre med, but I have recently decided that nursing will be a better fit for me. I know UW only admits students to their nursing program after their sophomore year, but that people do pre reqs as a pre nursing student. Can I do that currently as I have been admitted? Or do I need to switch schools? Also, how competitive is the admissions? Any advice would be helpful, thanks!!

Yeah to my knowledge you can do that with no problem. As a freshman admit I really don’t think they hold you strongly to the major you put on your app as long as you weren’t business and Foster’s freshmen direct… I could be wrong though so you wanna double check on that. Also, the nursing program at UW is great but it’s EXTREMELY competitive.

Okay thanks! Does anyone know what the acceptance rate is? I’m choosing between UW, Indiana University and University of Michigan.
