I was recently accepted into the OSU College of Arts and Sciences and planned to major in physics. However, my family is now pushing me toward engineering physics, which seems like a good option too. According to the physics department website, engineering physics is a degree that comes from the College of Engineering. Do I have to switch colleges to get a degree in engineering physics? Is that difficult to do?

It is not at all difficult to switch majors, but you’ll need to talk to an advisor in your new major. You should talk to them about what classes to schedule for Fall semester, and I recommend doing that sooner rather than later.

Here is the page for engineering physics, and the advisor’s info is on the side:

You’ll be a pre-engineering physics major until you’ve completed the intro to engineering sequence and a few other requirements. Email Lindsey Thaler.
