<p>I'm a bio major, but I'm seriously considering switching to Bus. Admin. and getting a minor in accounting. </p>
<p>What should I do? Declare an undeclared major and then apply for business administration next year?</p>
<p>And take the pre-requisites, instead of bio,chem, etc.?</p>

<p>a. there’s no reason why you can’t take the prereqs for both bus admin/bio unless you dont want to do bio, then dont. you may need summer school or something.</p>
<p>Hmmm, how am I supposed to enroll in management if the class is only allowed for Business Admin majors?</p>
<p>a. after a certain time (very close to the start of the quarter), they typically lift those restrictions. they may or may not.</p>
<p>b. you may have to transfer into the bus admin major AND THEN take the management courses. of course, the more relevant courses (and good grades) make you a more appealing student.</p>
<p>c. many community colleges have accounting classes. im not sure what the deal is with transfer credit, but at Irvine Valley College (a near by college), you can take “ACCT 1A Financial Accounting” which is equal to “MGMT 30A Principles of Accounting 1” and ACCT 1B… blah blah. I think IVC offers the course online if you can’t go to class in person every 2-3 days. </p>
<p>sidenote: the bus admin is supposedly very competitive. Most kids who can’t get in just major in business econ.</p>
