So I have a problem.
I began at my CC as a psychology major. Just as I was finishing the prereqs,
I decided a psychology career definitely wasn't for me.
I would really like to take on a neuroscience or health sciences major at UCSC when it's time to transfer. Problem is, by the time I want to transfer (Fall '11) I would have a bunch of prereqs missing for the above intended majors. I would stay at my CC longer, but I've been there for 4 years already.
I was wondering if it was possible for me to get into UCSC as a psych major and switch to neuro or health sciences after I get in.

Any help is greatly appreciated

yes, it is possible. it may be hard but you can do it. just call the department for your wanted major at UCSC and talk to someone about it, they should be able to give you all the info you need.

I understand your desire to leave CC asap, but you would be saving yourself tons of money by staying another year. There shouldn’t be any problem in switching to another major as long as its in the same college/department, but you will likely have to take the majority of those pre-reqs at UCSC.

thank you for the replies rawfulmao and ciaokarol, all the help is appreciated.
if any other people have any other suggestions, by all means chime in.
