Switching Majors at UC Davis

Just out of curiosity, how easy is it to switch majors at UC Davis within the college? For instance, from Computer Science and Engineering to Computer Science.

If you’re switching from the College of Engineering to the College of Letters and Science (since CS is in the College of L&S), then all you need is to get 4 signatures–one from an advisor for your current major, one from an advisor for the major you want to switch into, one from the dean of the college your current major is in, and one from the dean of the college in which the major you want to switch into is in.

If you are switching to a different major within the same college, then you don’t need the dean’s signature, just the advisors’.

For some majors, like all the engineering majors, additional requirements must be fulfilled before anyone can switch into them (like having to complete prerequisite courses with no less than a C).
