Switching Majors?

I’m a little confused on how restricted you are to your major. I know you can change majors, with certain requirements, but I want to know what the limitations are. If I enter as an undecided Social sciences major in the College of Letters and Sciences, am I allowed to:

choose my major as something outside of the social science umbrella?

choose my major as something offered at a different college? [For example Hydrology in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Studies]

take classes offered in different colleges?

you are allowed to change majors one quarter after you are admitted. Yes, you can choose a major offered at a different college. You just need to fill out a major request form and get it signed. Some majors are harder to switch out of, according to what I’ve read on their site, such as engineering. Also, yes, you can enroll in classes at different colleges. You don’t have to stick to classes only in your college–for example, you’re certainly not going to find a math class offered in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Studies.
