I’m applying to McGill as an international prospective undergraduate student. I’m applying to the engineering faculty and the sciences faculty. When I was filling out my application I listed mechanical engineering as my program of interest, but now I wish I’d have put on electrical engineering or computer engineering. They have the same admission cutoff average (94%).
So will I be able to switch before I enrol once admitted? I don’t really want to mech engineering anymore. I haven’t submitted my application yet but it doesn’t allow me to change it and I don’t want to start a new application if I can change programs later.
Call McGill. If you were trying to switch from Arts to Engineering that would not be approved. But to switch within engineering may be possible.
Hi. Have you managed to ask them. Im having the same question
@khanh229 I didn’t end up asking them, I re-read the description on the application which said that this is not in any way binding and is there just so they can roughly estimate the program size etc. I also asked my counsellor, she said it should be fine since they wrote it like that.
