I applied as a transfer to a four year university for English thinking that was the only way I could get my concentration in Creative Writing. Well it turns out that Creative Writing is its own minor. When I spoke to an admissions counselor the day after I applied, I told her I definitely want to double major with English and Homeland Security and minor in creative writing and Arabic. Now that I found out about the creative writing minor I want to tell the woman who is processing my application (different than the admissions counselor I met with) that I no longer want English but JUST the creative writing minor with a major in History and then keep the Homeland Security with a minor in Arabic. That way I can still get feedback on my novel and other writings and I can gear all my other work towards my major career goal.
Most of my classes that are transferring are history classes. Should I tell her? I don’t want to get accepted as an English major and look dishonest by changing it.
