<p>I'll be attending U of I this fall (3 weeks). I'm a transfer student but I know the campus pretty well my brother graduated 2 years ago and I visited a bit.</p>
<p>Directed toward current students, is it pointless to go to class during syllabi week?</p>
<p>Attending classes is never “pointless.”</p>
<p>Some classes dive right into the material, while other classes use the first class or 2 as an introduction to the class.</p>
<p>Go to class the first day and the first week. Some teachers will start lecturing the first day.</p>
<p>Thanks all. For registering your iClicker, can you do that now or do you have to wait for instructions once the class begins?</p>
<p>Not certain, but if someone can give you the link then you should be fine.</p>
<p>Also, it’s dangerous to try determining which classes to go to. Don’t do it, it might make sense at the time but it will bite you in the ass. It’s a slippery slope.</p>
