Hey all, i suck at SAT's and I was planning on taking the Sylvan SAT prep course this summer, if i dont do good on june SAT, as a last resort to get my SAT scores up from a 1200(1790 total) to, hopefully, 1300+(1900+)

So i was wondering if any one else has taken this course and had a big improvement in their scores.and by how much?

ps. How much is this class, like $1000+?

Wondering the same thing here...

Prep courses aren't worth it. They'll make you drill a lot of practice tests, which you can do at home with the blue book. Their special method to read faster is just putting your finger on words as you read along. It helps a little when I do it on my practice tests, but their test prep isn't revolutionary. I didn't take it by the way.

Well, your word is better than nobody's. No offense.

Prep courses will take you from a 1600 to an 1800, or from a 1400 to a 1600. At 1790 and wanting to get to 1900.... you basically already know what you need to know to get there, just practice. Same goes for someone at 1900 or 2000 wanting to get to 2200, you know it, you just need practice.
