Syracuse Application Essays STINK!

Your hs counselor is given forms that waive app fees for just about any school? Do you need to show that you are below a certain family income level? I have heard of fee waivers for low income, although I do not know how low it needs to be. Am I missing something?

I have a low income family, below the state average, so she gave me the forms. Also, the fact that I have two other siblings that will be in college at the same time is a factor.

Oh, okay. I knew that I did not know a piece of the puzzle. Wow, are you triplets? Hope that you all get some nice merit aid!

ok just got the app in the mail. all the questions are there except for the quote one. where do you see that?

They changed up the app on my computer!

I was filling it out recently, and all of the sudden some of the questions disappeared.

All there is are the 3 short answers, and the 250-500 word essay.

Still, 3 shrort answers and an essay seems excessive. I think the only reason for this is to help screen out those kids that aren't serious about attending the school. I think Syracuse, being a top 50 rated school in the nation, is tired of being considered a safety school or a school for those that don't get their first choice.

It's definitely not a safety for me, LOL.
