How much harder is it to get accepted Regular Decision vs Early? Do they look for even higher GPA and ACT/SAT scores? Does anyone know specifically about Whitman?
They are much more lenient with early apps
My school’s naviance says I have a good chance, just wanted to see what other people think. Good luck if you applied as well!
hi! just wanna say good luck to those applying, RD probably comes sometime soon and just wanted to spread a little love and positivity to y’all during this pandemic (which I hope is over soon so that you guys can have a graduation)!
BTW I’m an aspiring Syracuse student and want to go here fall 2022 for the ASP program
but also bc i love the school after doing some research :))
hey i got in already! thank u so much for the good vibes and best wishes. hope to see u there in the fall!
Congrats :))
congrats! did u apply RD or ED?
Is the students’ decision date still May 1st? I know last year the schools pushed it out until June 1st due to the pandemic. We’re down to less than two months until final decisions have to be made and are still waiting on a few colleges (Syracuse included), despite applying in October. Is it me or does this feel like a very tight window given that most students have not and will not be able to visit the schools?
A very tight window! We have never visited Syracuse and if my DD gets in, we will have to travel there. If we knew the exact announcement date, we could kind of plan in advance.
If we go by the College Conf forum for Syracuse RD 2024, decisions should start coming out for RD on Friday March 12. I don’t know for certain, though.
Does anyone know any statistics about how many students Syracuse admitted this year for ED1 ED2? Is it usually an equal amount among all the colleges? Would you think ED is less than 50%? Thanks.
rd, i am an international applicant living in the u.s. so the cuse decisions was rolling for me and got the packet today in mailbox, disappointed at how basic the sticker is but yay cuse :))
plus if anyone needs a hint on acceptance (not here to cause early nerves or conspiracy theory since there is nothing much on myslice portal and it is outdated anyways) the cuse email that attaches ur decision letter would show “Please note that you will also receive a hard copy by mail.” if you are waitlisted or denied, it would tell u that u would not get a hard copy by mail. I would not trust any theory but yeah it is a little hint before u click the decision letter and it is literally descriptions on the decision notification email so it is not early at all
oo nice! congrats oo nice how was the decision rolling for you? did you apply for it to be rolling? thanks
I believe @BestOfLuckYall said they were an international applicant and I believe international applications are rolling. Correct me if I’m wrong.
Rolling decision notifications are exclusive for international applicants according to the admission officer i emailed to, but we have the same rd and ed deadlines and the application process is the same. You cannot choose to apply for it directly, since it seems to be a different policy for domestic students.I think it releases about mid-march for domestic students, so it would be soon as well, good luck my friend.
when do we think decisions will come out? also are they all dropped at once for RD or do they come out on batches?
Based on last years decisions, I’m guessing next Friday, March 12
But it honestly could be any Friday this month
They said it’s typically mid-late march, so is it likely that it’s earlier ? (RD)
