Syracuse Class of 2025 — Regular Decision

Great chance

Think you have a very good chance. From what I have seen in this tread everyone has good chances. You just never know this year. Acceptances are all over the place with all the schools as well as merit money. I have done well with my admissions but still don’t know why Syracuse is taking so long I have a weighted 4.1. UW 99. 5 Aps classes and 6 honors and 2 SUPA classes. I was not able to interview so I’m getting nervous

Hi. First time using these forums so I was wondering if someone would be so kind as to chance me.

Out of state
3.5 unweighted GPA (kinda bad grades freshman year but have been on an upward trend ever since, got all A’s junior/senior year, 3.8-4.0 (out of 4.0) GPA for both years)
My school does not do class ranks so N/A here.
I was unable to complete an interview due to personal reasons, but I sent them an email saying how interested I have been. (as well as EC updates) (I also was able to walk on campus a few months ago)
I submitted a 28 ACT.
I have good extra curriculars including 4 years of varsity sports, volunteering over my high school years, and working a job since sophomore year.
Let me know what my chances are! ik this year is kinda wack but I was hoping to get accepted friday or whenever they release

you have essentially the same stats as me lol. id say your chances are pretty good

I have almost the same GPA as you and everything except I take “less challenging” courses. I have only taken two APs (one is AP calc so I think that helps with my major) and 3 duel enrollment. I take Syracuse biology too and have an A. Do you think my rigor is below their standards? My school only has like 5/6 APs and no honors.

I think you are fine. I just don’t know what they are looking for this year. AP Bio looks great though. So I wld not stress

Thank you. So so nervous about all of it.

Newhouse (which I applied to too) isn’t the best in the nation and doesn’t have a 15% acceptance rate but still is the most difficult school to get into at Syracuse. Assuming you have a 3.8 (don’t know if that weighted or unweighted) and a score above a 29 or 1340 you have a decent shot. Also depends on rigor and likely extracurriculars too.

Just got my decision. Accepted Marketing Management.

Its literally ranked number 1 in the country, the only one that compares is UPenn, and the acceptance rate is usually 20% but this year its much lower cause of the amount of applications.

According to prep scholar, Syracuse is #4 in the nation. And many other websites don’t list it as number one. Not discrediting cuse, just saying they’re not the best in the nation.

Look up the rankings, it’s not. BU, USC, and Northwestern are always ranked ahead. Also, they claim to have 3200 applications for 420 spots. Realistically speaking, they’re taking way more than 420 considering Syracuse has a 21-23% yield, my best guess would be a 33% yield for Newhouse (even that’s high) and would have about a 40% acceptance rate. It is difficult, but if you meet their stats you probably have a decent chance.

I saw it more around #10 but it’s fair to say. UPenn, Stanford, USC, and Northwestern are definitely better.
