Goodluck I hope they really do come out tomorrow and everyone is really happy
Daughter applied for Newhouse - does she have a good chance based on her stats: 4.0 UW, 4.56 W ranked third in class, tons of extracurriculars including 3 years as Head Editor of Yearbook, president of 2 clubs including her schools Informational Technology club, and vice-president of 1. Founded a Girls Empowerment Club, several leadership positions outside of school and lots of volunteer hours over the last four years. Her top choice is BU or USC but really liked Syracuse too.
“The SU decision process can be staggered – so some may hear this week and others might hear later.” this is coming from the lady that reached out to me about this support program at cuse and I’m also meeting with her next week for her to give me more information about the program.
Yes but usually acceptances come first then waitlists then rejections
Also she reached out to you about a program? That seems like a good sign
Your daughter has a very good chance. But her other schools are just as good or even better.
yeah this was like a month ago. apparently while the admissions office was reviewing my application they reached out to me saying im eligible for this program for students with the academic and economic requirements for a higher education. they told me its separate from admission and if i do get admitted im required to attend a 6 week summer bridge program at Syracuse.
I think SU is the only accredited communication school out of all of them.
everyone good luck tomorrow!!! fingers crossed–hope that we get news, and better yet good news!!
Any news tomorrow is good news!!
yo am i the only one who gets a decision notification on there promotions tab on there gmail?
also yeah-you are more than fine. cuse really likes high stats even if you’re a little dry on EC’s. there’s possibly an off chance that they’ll waitlist you, but I doubt it considering your class rank. did you apply for CAS?
Yes! CAS and have an A in their into biology course
I’m confused on what you mean?
you are definitely more than fine then… and the fact that you have taken that course will 100% help! plus, CAS is not as competitive their other majors/schools.
like when i applied ED for cuse back in December my decision notification popped up in my promotions tab on my gmail instead of my primary.
you can drag it or put it into primary and it adjusts for future emails
Yo really?
Thank youuuu. Helping to alleviate my stress lol
is the school of visual and performing arts competitive ?
