Syracuse Class of 2026 Admissions

Michigan has EA. My daughter applied to Syracuse RD (and was accepted)!

You are correct. I misspoke when I said EA. Obviously I meant ED. The point I was going for is that there are ED students who did not hear yet. Thank you for clarifying.

Anyone think more emails will come out today or do we think Friday? I have a feeling I know what answer is coming but this is just torture at this point. I will never understand why all emails couldn’t go out same day and time or even a day or two apart. Week to week is really rough. Students need time to mourn bad news and move on to second and third choices.

Hi GUUCB. Did your daughter apply ED? Mine applied RD to same school and program and hasn’t heard yet. Very frustrated here. Other schools she’s gotten into haven’t done this.

Congrats, BTW!

I strongly believe we’ll receive some today and close it out on Friday!

We are in the same boat. Daughter got full tuition at Syracuse so I think she wants to go there vs Michigan which we are still waiting. Too many kids from her feeder school going to Michigan and she wants a fresh start. Selfishly I would like her close to home as we live 40 miles from Ann Arbor.

Is it possible they will come out next week? Or definitely close our this Friday

My daughter applied ED2 and was deferred. I am really hoping she will either hear back today or Friday. This is so frustrating!!

Wow, congrats on full scholarship! What is your daughter studying? My daughter’s scholarship was not that much but I think the scholarship makes it a little less than Michigan. If my daughter is not accepted to Michigan, she is likely to get waitlisted and be offered a spot in their immersion program for sport management/analytics which has a January start. She originally said that she would rather go to Syracuse than start in January but who knows what she will decide. My older daughter goes to Michigan so it would be nice to have them both at the same school but there are a lot of pluses to go to Syracuse that makes a January start unappealing to me.

My daughter is planning on data science. She received a Leadership Scholarship (half tuition) and also a tuition exchange scholarship ($40K) since my spouse works at a University. Its stackable up to the cost of full tuition. My son goes to Michigan State and it has been great having him close by, especially given Covid. We are in Michigan so I don’t mind paying the full rate as its a good value at our cost. She also got into MSU, Purdue, Wisconsin, and others and doesn’t seem interested in them other than Wisconsin who gave no aid. We are going to the Leadership Scholars reception in April and I am sure once they roll out the red carpet, Syracuse will be even more appealing as it will seem like they really want her. We toured Syracuse for my son five years ago and she said she wanted to go there. So maybe its meant to be. My son was interested way back in sports analytics which is why we toured Syracuse. They were the first to have the major and seem to have some good connections. So that is a good option for your daughter.

Same here!

As in deferred ED2 and hope to hear today

Can anyone shed light on the LLCs at Syracuse and when our students will find out? Would that information have been included in the offer of admission? D was accepted as an architecture major and is specifically interested in the architecture LLC, which is apparently new in the last year or two.

Thank you! My daughter applied RD.

Interesting! My daughter got into Wisconsin for data analytics but is not currently considering Wisconsin (even though she loved the campus and had such a great time at a football game) because she wants sport analytics. If she goes to Syracuse, she is likely to double in data analytics and go for her masters in her fourth year (since she will be going in with over 20 credits). When are you going to Syracuse? We are scheduled on April 18th

No, housing/LLC assignments will be communicated in the early to mid July time frame.

That’s disappointing. Another of the schools she was admitted to tells the kids which LLC they’ve been assigned to before they have to commit. At large universities, imo, that factors into the decision to attend. Thanks for the reply.

We are going to the Leadership Scholars reception which is April 10/11. My daughter is sporty, she did 3 varsity sports, but no interest in sports analytics.

My daughter plays 3 varsity sports too—field hockey, softball and basketball—maybe they will end up at the same school and cross paths!
