Syracuse Class of 2026 Admissions

Can someone clarify the days/dates that Syracuse is allegedly supposed to send out the rest of the decisions?

She does field hockey too! She may try to play club. She also does figure skating and ice hockey. She has had a long figure skating career. Never thought I would be a hockey Mom!

My Freshman S is in the Performing Arts LLC this year. The bonding experience with other students who are VPA majors is outstanding. The benefit is being with others who are also in the same major

Always curious what attracts OOS to Syracuse. We are from NY and all family is here. I am alumni but just interested in what the main attractions are for others outside the area.

For my daughter, they are one of the top forensic science programs and she is also allowed to double major in chemistry if she wants. We are OOS.

If they would send out today, what time?

It appears to be 5:04 ET based on other posts.

Being a new Syracuse family from CA, I find this question perplexing and wondering why you are curious to gather information on why OOS choose Syracuse?

New to the whole process. DD is my oldest. Just curious if it is specific major, athletics, location etc what draws folks in. I’ve heard some say they don’t like snow but still apply to SU. Orange has always been a part of us and can’t imagine anything different. :tangerine:

It’s a well known school with many highly ranked programs. Being that it’s private it’s equally accessible to all.

I would guess that the qualities that attract IS are the same that attract OOS.

For us it is that Syracuse is a Tuition Exchange school that gives good merit too. Tuition exchange is for University employees dependents. Our daughter was approved by my spouses university to get the scholarship and it was also approved on Syracuse’s end in addition to half tuition scholarship. Honestly that was a little shocking as my son was #17 on the waitlist from my spouses university to get tuition exchange. This all stacks to a maximum of full tuition so we pay R&B and maybe a little misc expense. Daughter is coming from private school and plays ice sports so very comfortable in the cold! We did visit years ago for my son and she liked it. We shall see how she likes the visit and how decisions from other schools play out.

There are too many reasons to list why my son, as well as my husband and I, are so attracted to Syracuse. To mention a few: the business program was extremely impressive, the supportive environment with advisors and career planning, the flexibility in stacking different majors, the school spirit, the alumni support and lifelong enthusiasm, and the student body struck us as being happy, fun and well-balanced with academics - we saw so many students with smiles on their faces engaging with peers over schoolwork, which we did not find nearly as much at other college visits. And the lively campus even when it was under 20 degrees. We visited other schools that were not lively at all even in 70-degree sun. We also loved that the stadium was right on campus (I never realized before how many college stadiums are actually not on the main campus). And the fact that the stadium is actually a dome that is used year round for events is a nice perk. I can go on and on

You are spot on! I’m a Whitman School of Management alumni.
Go Orange! :tangerine:

Anyone get a decision today?

Why are they torturing us

I thought for sure today. My daughter is at work and she keeps checking over and over again. I want to cry just from the anxiety and self doubt this is causing!
