My GF was deferred from ED, just got her email but won’t open it because we have a performance tonight and she doesn’t want to ruin it in case it’s bad news. She deserves a break, I hope she got in.

Waitlisted for the school of education. 
We did not get an email yet. Applied to Newhouse. My D is freaking out after seeing all the waitlisted. This is her top choice and still no email after being deferred ED2. She was waitlisted from Tulane earlier today but the only school she really cares about at the moment is Syracuse. We have been so patient and I am crazy proud of her but I think todays’s round has unnerved her for sure 
Is this for today or so far in the entire process?
This was a poll posted after todays wave so it was definitely weighed down by the recent waitlist. Most of the earlier polls were either accepted or no notification yet

Waitlisted. Again (Univ of SC, NC State, Clemson, UCONN). Syracuse was his first choice school for Falk Sports Analytics.

I guess all that are left are going to be rejections. My D is beside herself. Even her school college counselor said Syracusecwas the perfect fit for her. Till she gets that email she isn’t ready to move on. Don’t blame her but wow this is so much more difficult then I even imagined.

So basically no one believes what SU admissions has said - that the decisions are random throughout process?

There is a science to the admissions process, it’s never random.
Someone I know got waitlisted today as well. Seems that today is the mostly-waitlist batch. Which makes sense given their batched releases…
They may also be doing this so that they can see who is REALLY interested and accepts the waitlist spot. The admissions team then has a smaller number to decide on, and it will be a group that has a greater likelihood of saying yes to attending.
Also waitlisted. Just for stats. 
Seems like Syracuse said that just to cover their ass.
