Some of ‘Cuse’s colleges will notify recipients earlier than others. My son is enrolled in the College of Engineering and he received his when the regular decisions were released. Timing of decision does not necessarily dictate if you will get a scholarship.
scholarships first! next week the real fun begins!!
OK, thank goodness… If she does get accepted, there is zero chance she could go there without a significant scholarship/grant!
quick question- does anyone else have this in their portal??
i applied to falk if that helps
yes
does it mean something??
its always been there and if you click it, theres an error message. so no, means absolutely nothing
darn okay
i dont check the portal lol so i never noticed it ahah
Take it from past experience, any buttons on MySlice means absolutely nothing unless you are accepted. Your decision will come via email with a link to open. Nothing you need to do with MySlice unless you are accepted. Good luck
although a few minutes before ED decisions came out this year, the undergraduate admit acceptance button became an actual place to accept/deny offer for ppl who got in (instead of the error message)–it’s a decision before the decision minutes before the official email. i believe this happens pretty consistently.
Do decisions ever happen on any other day besides a Friday? My daughter went to visit today and the guide said decisions will be out very very soon, but not today. She said they made it seem like it was before Friday.
Yup
historically i think its usually been fridays, so maybe this week
How was her trip?
She really loved it. Much smaller than the rest of the campuses she has looked at. I am surprised the town did not
Bother her. She really likes the urban feel of Ohio State so I am surprised. Loves that they have a forensic science program where most schools don’t. We shall see! Crossing fingers.
Good luck
You too!
Visits are often surprising! My daughter did not want to visit Syracuse, and she ended up loving it. She didn’t tell me that she didn’t want to visit–I’m a Syracuse alum, and I think she didn’t want to disappoint me–but told her friends her mom was making her go lol. When we woke up at the hotel on the morning of the visit, it was gray and snowing. In October! I figured that was the end of that! Things got worse when we had a terrible tour guide–he was foreign, a mumbler, and a transfer student who had just arrived that semester. Somehow, though, she really loved it, and she’s been holding onto it ever since. After a dozen admissions, she’s narrowed it down to 3, including Syracuse! Meanwhile, my husband keeps reminding her that we can’t afford it LOL.
Yes, we also keep reminding her that IF she gets in, she needs significant merit/grant money. Mine applied to 18! Wish I had not let that happen now. Lol She has it down to 4 (unless a crazy reach school were to come through).
