I'm applying ED to the College of Visual and Performing Arts for film. I'm from Michigan. My ACT is 26 (I'm retaking it in September.) My GPA is about a 3.4 unweighted. I did three high schools sports, Key Club, SADD, GSA, WDHS (student film group), and student council. I had a job for over a year. I also attended NHSI at Northwestern University for Film & Video with a scholarship. I'll have taken 3 AP classes out of the 8 offered at my high school by the time I graduate and a few honors classes.

Looks like a match if you score a little higher on the ACT

You’re fine bud, have fun at syracuse haha.

bump, is it easier to get into the college for VPA?

you’ll definitely get in, please answer my thread too!

Also, is it better to apply for Newhouse RTF or VPA Film?

bump sos

Newhouse is by far the most selective program at Syracuse and I think with your scores, Newhouse would be a very big reach for you.

@soze what about VPA?

Hard to say.
One thing I’ll add is that we were at a Newhouse information session last year and were told by the dean to not “count on” being able to transfer to Newhouse from another school at Syracuse. It’s apparently very, very difficult.

Go with Newhouse. with your good ECs and your already demonstrated interest in film, you’re golden, goo.

Just got my new ACT score and it is a 27, HeLLlLLLPpPPP meee

I had my admissions interview yesterday and it went well EEeEe
