I applied in January and have yet to hear. If I heard correctly, tomorrow is the last wave of decisions? Hope that doesn’t mean rejection but I am very anxious to hear. I love Syracuse. Whatever is meant to be, is meant to be.
@clairemiles yes, it is believed today will.m be the last wave of decisions. I’ve noticed some posters said that this weeks decisions are all rejections, but I think it’s unlikely that a school would do that.
If you don’t get your email immediately, don’t freak out. It’ll come in eventually.

From my experience with my older son, today will NOT be the last wave of decisions. There will likely be decisions (in all directions) into early April.

Did anyone get into the discovery program?
I’ve heard people say that today’s decisions are all rejections but I feel like it would be pointless for a school to do that. They probably would’ve just rejected everyone on the same day as they accepted people, I don’t know why they would purposely wait to send out rejections. My mom thinks they do them in waves because they go through all the applications once and then weed out the definite “yes’s” and then compare everyone else, so that’s why it looks like most people get accepted first and everyone after gets denied.
Also, decisions are reportedly supposed to come out around 6:30 EST
I called admissions office yesterday because I felt like I should mentally prepare my son after reading this forum that it prob would be a rejection if it came today. She said they come out till the end of the month and will be a mixture of all decisions. I felt better, but has anyone actually been rejected this year from here? Saw some on other school threads, but don’t think I did here! This is his number 1 choice so really hopeful it wont be an ugly weekend 
@spjournalistlg I agree. no school just send out only or “mostly” denials in one sweep and acceptances in the other. the ED deferred people havent heard. they are not all rejected. Most of the Regular accepted have some form of merit and others with no merit may have “something special” that admissions wants. the rest with the stats that fall into Syracuses accepted category based on past stats havent heard at all. Plus cc posters are not even a statistically signicant sample of those overall accepted.
@FingerscrossedinNJ I’m in the same boat as you with Syracuse being my son’s top choice and being in NJ. This has been a grueling week and I hope it’s not the calm before the storm. It doesn’t seem like there is a tendency for people to post if they do not have good news to share so I’m trying not to think about if there were any rejections last week. @r1905 I love what you said, your general optimism, and trying to put things into perspective. Also this is the first year that it costs $70k to go there, so maybe they just sent out of a portion of decisions so they could get percentages of students that will attend with the new cost of attendance!
