Student in New York, applied regular decision around early November.
@spqr70nj - Iām from Georgia and non-legacy.
I applied RD.
@kwajmama forgot to post stats, ok so :
International Applicant
Accepted Regular Decision with 15k merit scholarship
SAT: 1440, ACT: 27 (didnāt submit)
GPA 9-11th: 3.83 W, CGPA (9-12.5): 3.89 W (not sure if mid-year report was considered?)
Applied RD on January, 1st.
Can someone post if they get an email after the Friday batch. Am curious if will continue to release or if was just yesterday and then another batch a week later etc. Thanks and good luck to all.
Accepted regular decision from CT. 1310 SAT, 4.1 GPA. $28,000 annual educational leadership award. Iām so caught off guard lol
Also I submitted my application in November and went to an on-campus interview
Where did you find your admission decision?
My decision was sent by mail. I got into Whitman with 28k a year scholarship.
Anyone applying to Newhouse been accepted?
I applied to Whitman RD but havenāt got anything yet!
Iām a US student!
Do you think more will come out next week on wednesday?
Same ^
If anyone knows and could clarify, I wasnāt sure whether merit scholarships can be added on top of financial aid. I had heard that for this school if financial aid exceeds the amount of merit aid given, only the financial aid will count/be usable.
So if you didnāt get the emailā¦what could that mean?
Woops ignore that! Wrong chat!
I got a second email from SU this morning after my admission notification last night explaining what the Whitman Leadership Scholar award meant and it explained that my admission decision was sent so much earlier since I received this award while the rest of the decisions still come out late March so it seems that they released a small batch of acceptances for students who received the 28k scholarship within each school at Syracuse yesterday and the rest of the decisions will come out in late March still.
Accepted Regular decision from NY. 34 ACT, GPA 4.1. $28000 annual leadership award. School of arts and sciences. Applied in October.
I was asked to share my stats and here they are. ACT: 31 raw, 32 super scored. 96 unweighted GPA. In state at a school literally 10 minutes away from campus. Both my parents are professors at SU. I applied on November 29 regular decision. I donāt think my scores or numerical stats are why I got in at all. I have taken/am taking 3 SUPA courses and have attended an annual high school publication conference at Newhouse (ESSPA) every year and the magazine Iām on the staff of has won numerous awards each year. I have a really complicated family situation, moved to the area in 8th grade, and creatively write, winning regional awards. I think Iām an example of a holistic view of students because Iām certain people with better grades got in/were rejected. not to be arrogant, but I think I got the āinteresting personā card. I also applied as a Modern Foreign Language major and take both AP French and Spanish this year as a senior with lots of leadership in French/spanish club/NHS in addition to summer immersion experiences.
