When did you hear?

I know this thread is for regular admissions, but anyone know when transfers hear back? Myslice has shown nothing on my to-do list since January and I haven’t heard a thing from SU since then.

I emailed a couple days ago but they haven’t got back to me. I’m going to call tomorrow but does anyone have any ideas?

I am also a transfer student who has yet to hear back, are you sure you do not owe them anything? Spring mid-terms? That’s what happened to me this year and my MySlice didn’t update to say they received them until Monday of this week, and from what I’ve heard today is supposed to be the last Friday they send out decisions so all I can hope is that today is the day. But I’m right there with you!

MID-TERM REPORT? they never asked me for one?!!? I can fax it to them today but holy crap is it too late?? It never showed up on myslice and they haven’t responded to my email! How was I supposed to know??

EDIT: I just called them and the lady told me that today is the last admission roll out day for freshmen. Transfers won’t hear back until May, possibly even June. Also, she said the mid-term grade would be “helpful” to send in, but not required. She also said they might ask for it later. I’m just going to send one in.

She said they received like 30k apps this year and they haven’t even started looking at transfers yet.

i was required to send one in because I am a first year college student with less than 30 credits until after this semester. as far as not hearing until may or june, i certainly hope not. i talked to michelle pipas, who is the admissions director at SU numerous times and every time she has told me i will know “very soon” and last monday told me i should know “within a week and a half” so as far as when we will know your guess is as good as mine. all i know is that there is a separate department in the admissions office for transfers and i know several others that have already been Accepted or Denied as transfers, so saying they have not reviewed transfers yet makes no sense to me

Really? It makes no sense to give conflicting information. I’m just saying what she told me. I doubt she would be lying though. I guess we’ll see.

I’ve found that they have been really confusing throughout this whole process, I just hop we hear soon!

*** being on the waitlist. Just visited yesterday, fell in love (again).

I wonder …Since I got accepted and I don’t plan on going, will declining my admissions offer help the wait list students get my spot?

@lilmelonred

Yes…that’s how it works.

Lilmelonred: yeah you should tell them you aren’t going. People gave been notified earlier than May 1st in past years of an open wait list spot.

Sent from my SGH-I897 using CC

Finally! Accepted as a transfer to iSchool! Got my email today!

Yo! I was admitted for Spring of 2014 also! Either way, I’m enrolled for that semester!

Right now, I’m conflicted between Macaulay Honors at Hunter College and Syracuse. Any advice or tips, guys?

Accepted to CAS on Monday. Probably won’t attend.

I just got off the waitlist for newhouse is this real life.

OMG got off the waitlist for CAS I’m so conflicted right now!

How do they inform you? Email? Myslice shows nothing for me. I can’t find a “check my status” button. I’m a transfer…

So I got waitlisted in March for CAS and still haven’t heard anything back yet. The email said “After June 1” I should be hearing, but I mean, some people are getting notified early May. Is this pretty much a sure sign of “no”?
